These extruded aluminum "heatsinks" are machined quickly using special high speed cutters. The coolant is shot directly into the cutting tool at high pressure, keeping the tooling cool. We can then produce parts at higher rpm's and faster linear cutting speeds. Low heat = faster cutting speeds. Incredible accuracy @ high speeds

	SMI produces precision machined parts by utilizing the latest equipment including: the Haas VF-4, VF-2 and VF-1 vertical machining centers (vmc). These are accurate and fast CNC machine tools. Table travel=50"x20". Up to a 20 tool capacity fully loaded, the spindle speed in 10,000 rpm max. with a traverse speed of 710 ipm. This adds up to fast material removal.

	Robodrill : The Latest Technology Ultra high speed drilling . .
	The FANUC ROBODRILL T14AL is a high speed CNC drilling machine designed to provide high efficiency machining. It has sufficient capacity for a wide range of machining, including parts machining such as drilling and tapping as well as milling and profiling.

Programming is fast via our CAD /CAM system. Your data is then downloaded to the machine center via cable connection.
